Soapstone is easily worked with carving tools. It was used more commonly by the Eastern Woodlands Indians for pipe bowls. It can be used to make pendants, small containers, or other small carved items. Each piece is about 1 1/8" thick.
Please check stones carefully before you start carving. Breakage due to faults in the stone happen, and are not our responsibility. We will accept returns of uncarved stones.
