We are accountable for your satisfaction and take this very seriously.
During these difficult economic times, we are striving to buy American made products whenever possible. The last 10-15 years has seen a huge glut of imports onto the Native American craft market, as in every other sector of business. It is often hard to find Made in the USA. When the opportunity arises, this is our first choice. This can sometimes mean slightly higher pricing on items, but we try to make that clear through our printed word.
We started with a card table at powwows about 1969. Six children, a VW bus, a carton of notecards and a love for our culture were the beginnings. Over the years we ran the business out of basement and vending at powwows.
In 1982 Andy (the oldest son) graduated from the Native Studies and Anthropology program at Trent University (Peterborough, ON) and started to run the business full time. Over the past 40 years the growth was all that we had hoped for. We had a retail store in Attleboro, MA for over 20 years which we loved.
We were one of the very first online Native American craft retailers during the early 1990's. This business in particular took off and mailorder became our main source of interacting with customers. In 2005 we moved our business to a better warehouse space in Carver, MA (next town over from Plymouth - "America's Hometown"). In January 2011 Chris and Carolyn moved The Bull north to their home in Washington, NH. Here we continue to run the mail order business and welcome customers who want to stop by and pick up their orders.
Andy and Chris have been active craftworkers for over 30 years. They have experience in many different craft techniques and bring that love to both new and restoration projects. Chris and Carolyn, Andy, Paul and Harriett continue to attend many area powwows and Chris and Carolyn also enjoy re-enactments. This family group has lots of experience with using and understanding tipis, quillwork, beadwork, woodworking and much more!
Visiting the coast of Maine, you might want to stop by the little bull. Ed Bullock, the youngest son has a seasonal gift shop in York Beach ME.
