This basic gorget has a polished nickel finish and measures 4.5 inches x 2.75 inches. Pre-drilled holes for suspension cord, lacing, etc.
Metal gorgets were originally worn by European military in the 18th century. In North America they were given to Native leaders as trade goods. Over time, they became prized trade items and part of Native regalia in the Eastern United States. They are very appropriate for French and Indian War period regalia.
